The Gamma Gamma chapter of ADPi was founded at Florida Southern College on April 27,1946, making it the 64th collegiate chapter of the sorority.  The effort to create this chapter was put forth by a local group, Zeta Zeta Zeta, which was organized on October 24, 1939, by the president of the college.

Members were invited to join the new sorority, whose purpose was to enhance cooperative spirit, to attain higher cultural and social ideals, and to strengthen the bond of all students on the Florida Southern campus.

Gamma Gamma continues to uphold the highest standards and ideals of Alpha Delta Pi.  It's members have served as Executive members on the Student Government, and held numerous Executive positions on the Panhellenic council.

Many of the sisters are members of honorary societies such as ODK, DO, Order of Omega, and the majority of the academic and major honor societies as well.  A few sisters have even been Honor Walk recipients, the highest honor for a graduating senior.

Sisters have been members of almost every sport team, cheerleading squad captains, and key players in obtaining numerous women's golf National Championships.

Also, many Gamma Gamma sisters have had the high distinction of being named Miss Greek and Miss Southern, as well as having had more contestants in these pageants than any other sorority on campus.

Gamma Gamma Executive Officers

"A sister is one who will pick you up when you are down.  If she cannot pick you up she will lie down beside you and listen."
